The Story of Boss Ross BBQ begins with a family tragedy. My mother and father suffered major strokes,robbing them of their independence and ability to care for one another.Having to deal with this new reality devastated our family-we as sons and daughters were victims too. We each have families of our own, and having to retool our lives to give care to our parents caused conflict and strife within our own families. Their strokes strained relationships and polarized the family.During the times when I was caregiver,I thought of creatives ways to bring the family together and mend rifts. Traditionally we always enjoyed the family BBQ-nutritious,healthy and delicious food,mixed with good company were constants at all family BBQ"s! Tinkering in the parents kitchen,I mixed key ingredients to come up with that right,lip smacking BBQ sauce.
The ingredients reminded me of the different personalities in my family-a little sweet,alittle tangy,very bold,and all good when mixed together! Thus Boss Ross Gourmet BBQ sauce was born. I was able to introduce this wonder to the family and bring us back to the table to start the healing process. The tradition was carried on with the best lip smacking BBQ Sauce ever made,and my dad enjoyed its delicious flavor until he passed away in 2007.
